What is a Cell Group?
The life of the church is worked out in small groups. They are open to everyone. Everyone has something unique and vital to bring to the life of the cell and everyone is encouraged to serve. Cells are not just meetings. They are about sharing all of life with plenty of time given to eating together and having fun.
Being part of a small community of believers is vital in helping us grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and enables us to fully participate in and benefit from the wider life of the church.
Why the name “Cell”?
The first century church met together both in large gatherings and smaller groups in someone’s home. You can read about them in the Bible in Acts 2:42-47. At Kings Church Horsham we follow this pattern.
Church Membership
Getting to know people well generally happens as we meet with a smaller group of believers. This also helps us to become mature in our faith. To become a member of the church, someone in the cell will take you through our ‘Belonging to the Church Family’ material, and you will meet up with one of the church leaders so you can ask any questions you may have and get to know each other.
The booklet called "Cell Church: Our vision for a radical expression of New Testament Christianity", is available from the Church Office. Contact us or pick one up from the Welcome Desk on a Sunday morning.
