Many people regard getting older as a disaster and think of the elderly as a nuisance and inconvenience.  As a church we believe it's an honour to care for and help the elderly in our community. 

We have a team of dedicated volunteers who work with the elderly in the Horsham area.  They seek to provide opportunities for older people to enjoy social activities together.  They also provide scriptural encouragement, comfort, understanding and compassion.

Crowning Years is the name given to the church's work with older people.

The Crowning Years group meets alternate Tuesdays 10:30am to 12noon.  Please contact us (01403 254241) to confirm the venue.

The morning consists of time to chat over a coffee (tea if you prefer), worship, prayer and teaching.

We also enjoy social events together, videos and the occasional visit to a lovely garden where we have coffee.  Once or twice a year we also have a special afternoon tea with entertainment.

The Crowning Years team visits people in their homes and helps with practical issues where possible.  We visit three local Nursing Homes and lead services in them once a month.  We run a Discipleship Group for new Christians on alternate Fridays.  We also provide opportunity for elderly people to serve each other.
