For Parents

Kings Church works very closely with the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS) and much of the advice provided by this organisation is implemented in our Good Practice Guidelines for those working with children.

The Church has its own Child Protection Policy and every Youth Leader involved has read and agreed to work according to its guidelines.

Criminal Record Checks

All Youth Leaders in Kings Church are police checked in line with the CCPAS guidelines.

"The role of the Criminal Records Bureau is to reduce the risk of abuse by ensuring that those who are unsuitable are not able to work with children and vulnerable adults" - David Blunkett

Training

We operate a “Team” approach to youth work and provide a complete program of training.  We meet all together monthly for an afternoon of eating, planning and training.  Additionally we provide smaller support groups who meet more regularly to pray and support each other practically.
