Information for Parents
Who runs Megamix Kidz Klub?
Megamix is part of the children’s work of Kings Church Horsham and is run by Trevor Johnson and staffed by a large team of volunteers from the church.
Child Protection
We consider it a privilege to have your children at Megamix Kidz Klub and will do our utmost to ensure that they have a great time in a safe and secure environment. Kings Church works very closely with the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS) and much of the advice provided by this organisation is implemented in our Good Practice Guidelines for those working with children. The Church has its own Child Protection Policy and every Leader involved in Megamix Kidz Klub has read and agreed to work according to its guidelines.
All Childrens Leaders over 18 years of age in Kings Church are police checked in line with the CCPAS guidelines.
Registration
We require all parents to complete a registration form, so that we have emergency contact details, along with your permission for your child to participate in our activities. It is also helpful if you can specify any needs your child may have as this enables us to help your child get the most out of Megamix Kidz Klub.
Visiting
If your children travel on our free minibus service to Megamix Kidz Klub we aim to visit your child each week. At that time, they will receive a visiting card which may include verses from the bible, puzzles, jokes and recipes! We will also let them know what is coming up that week in the club on Sunday and encourage them to come along if they can! Our visiting programme is a great way to stay in touch and find out what’s coming up in the near future at Megamix.
Transport
Children are all required to wear seatbelts at all times when traveling to or from Megamix Kidz Klub on transportation provided by Kings Church. All bus drivers hold a West Sussex County Council approved 'Minibus Drivers Permit' and both drivers and assistants are also police checked.
