The Pastoral Care Academy consists of three sequential ‘stand-alone’ courses which will increasingly develop skills and understanding.
Pastoral Care 1
This would include helping others face root issues, understand themselves, repentance, forgiveness, knowing God’s love, renewing thinking, breaking demonic oppression and living the Spirit filled life. The school will run over four Saturday mornings. The next course is on 9th Sept, 7th Oct, 4th Nov and 2nd Dec 2017.

The fees include five essential booklets written by Irene Brooks for ongoing ministry use. Further booklets are planned at an additional cost.
Pastoral Care 3
Pastoral Care Academy 3 will run on 23rd Sept, 14th Oct, 11th Nov 2017 and 13th Jan 2018.
This course will be by invitation only.
Irene brooks, as a Psychology graduate, completed various post graduate courses in order to work as a professionally Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor with the Association of Christian Counsellors. She developed and managed the Counselling Service in ‘Church of Christ the King’ , Brighton since 1991. During this time, she both ran Barnabus Training Consortium counselling courses and helped to develop pastoral care training in the church as a certified trainer with the Counselling and Psychotherapy Awarding Body.
Phil graduated in Applied Social Studies and Social Work and worked as a Family, Child Care and Mental Health Social Worker for eight years before becoming a full time church elder in 1988 and one of the founding elders of Kings Church Horsham in 1994 which he continues to serve. He wrote the ‘Foundations For Freedom’ course.
