Pastoral Care Academy

Designed to practically equip those who will be providing ongoing pastoral guidance, biblical counsel, support, encouragement and prayer ministry to others within a church context.

The Pastoral Care Academy consists of three sequential ‘stand-alone’ courses which will increasingly develop skills and understanding.

Pastoral Care 1 provides the foundational understanding of the roots of emotional, relational, behavioural and spiritual problems and the basic tools of how those needs can be met.

This would include helping others face root issues, understand themselves, repentance, forgiveness, knowing God’s love, renewing thinking, breaking demonic oppression and living the Spirit filled life. The school will run over four Saturday mornings.
Course fees: £80.
Kings Church Horsham Members who are or will be serving as Connect Group Leaders or on the Ministry Team can attend for FREE.

Pastoral Care 2

Pastoral Care 2

Pastoral Care 2 will particularly help those who are willing and able to offer 1-2 hour sessions over a period of 2 to 6 weeks to assist someone to work through their difficulties.
It is a follow on course from Pastoral Care 1 and will extend the basic principles in similar areas such as emotional well being, renewal of thinking, forgiveness and deliverance.
There will be front led teaching, ‘hands-on’ practicing of skills, feedback, discussion, comprehensive written material and some home work assignments.
